Porduction Blog march 11

 

For my production I'm going to go to my friends house again and he's going to help me record and edit my final task. In addition to being hard, it is also fun. Even though you have to reshoot scenes and do triggering editing it all pays off when you see the final production. Its not the destination, but the journey. I took this class to learn more about film, I never expected myself to make my own. So, during my production I plan to actually use a good camera this time. I don't want to use my phone. I want this production to look better than my other films. I have a lot of time on my hands and spring break is coming up. I want to get it done during that time possibly. I'm prepared to work hard and make a really good production, like a movie. Unlike my other productions, in the one i am going to be talking. I really don't want my voice to be muffled and i don't want to make it look weird by carrying a mic. I want this one to be like a trailer out of a movie. The actors never have there earpieces or microphones out and I need like some kind of microphone for that. I will be paying high attention to the background, landscape, and props. I really don't want my film to look like its been done by some high schooler who is making his second ever film. I want it to be really good, I know its going to take effort and time, but I have the time.

Editing blog music video

  For editing my music video i first had to cut down some of my parents. All together i probably recorded like 5 minutes worth of footage, so i had to cut that down to like 1 minute. Before submitting, since i had extra time and everything I wanted to impress Cambridge, so i tried to do some special effects on my video, like the gif that follows below, like when the camera is still focused on the face, but moves side to side relatively fast. While recording i was kind of a little bit running out of ideas for what to actually to include in the video so i may have a little bit of filer, shots that aren't really that necessary. Moreover, during my editing phase in addition to cutting out scenes, i has to cut out entire scenes because i realized that i actually had way to much filer, like scenes that weren't me, so i had to change that up and put myself in most of the scenes. April 12 production blog

  So, finally i finished, the masterpiece is complete. I know i said i wanted it as a movie film, but it probably wont look like it. I filmed it and everything, it isn't the best but i give it like a 8 out of 10, i didn't have the godly camera, i couldn't take it outside because the day i went to my friends house it was raining so that was the first L. However, with the power of editing, and a good editing software, i hope i can make that 8 a 10. I filmed the video and everything, all is going smoothly, but i feel like i haven't filmed enough for some reason. That is pretty much the only problem i have right now. With premier pro I'm going to make the quality better, sound effects, background music, and everything to bring the best out of this video. All the pan and other film terminologies are incorporated in this video, I'm tryna do split screen but I'm not sure how that is gonna work. April 8th production blog

  So im going to reshoot my final task this weekend at my friends house again, my storyboard is pretty much the same but I'm just trying to make it look nice, im still adopting that detective role. Time really flies and the due date is around the corner. So, i think this weekend will be my second and last draft for the final task so i really hope it goes well. I'm planning to do it this weekend and then im going to give myself a couple days of editing so i can really perfect the final task.
