Production blog March 18


 So, I'm finally getting ready to do my final task. I really sucks that I'm just going to be the only actor unfortunately but at least I have one of my friends as the camera man and not my mom. I am actually going to go to Texas for a couple of days. The place I'm going to is much more open than in Hollywood, Florida where I'm doing most of the film. So, to show an eerie house, instead of using my friend's house (which isn't eerie at all). While in Texas I'm going to take the time and find some abandoned house and go there in the middle of the night, all to make this the best film Cambridge has seen. I wont actually explore the house, but ill have me talking to the boss on the phone as I walk up to it, ill take a bunch of vids from a bunch of different angles and use that in my film. So ill have me walking towards it from a distance in the beginning of my final task, and the actual final task itself of me investigating will be my friend's house. Ill try to make it seem to the audience that this house and Texas and the one in Florida are the same, so I'm showing the outside of the abandoned house in Texas and ill explore the inside of the house in Florida. As I was writing this I actually came up with the idea. I know it will be a heck of a lot of editing to make this flow and look right, but as I am writing this I am imagining the final product in my head and thinking about how cool it will look. In conclusion, I am really excited to do this final task and I hope it comes out perfectly.

Editing blog music video

  For editing my music video i first had to cut down some of my parents. All together i probably recorded like 5 minutes worth of footage, so i had to cut that down to like 1 minute. Before submitting, since i had extra time and everything I wanted to impress Cambridge, so i tried to do some special effects on my video, like the gif that follows below, like when the camera is still focused on the face, but moves side to side relatively fast. While recording i was kind of a little bit running out of ideas for what to actually to include in the video so i may have a little bit of filer, shots that aren't really that necessary. Moreover, during my editing phase in addition to cutting out scenes, i has to cut out entire scenes because i realized that i actually had way to much filer, like scenes that weren't me, so i had to change that up and put myself in most of the scenes. April 12 production blog

  So, finally i finished, the masterpiece is complete. I know i said i wanted it as a movie film, but it probably wont look like it. I filmed it and everything, it isn't the best but i give it like a 8 out of 10, i didn't have the godly camera, i couldn't take it outside because the day i went to my friends house it was raining so that was the first L. However, with the power of editing, and a good editing software, i hope i can make that 8 a 10. I filmed the video and everything, all is going smoothly, but i feel like i haven't filmed enough for some reason. That is pretty much the only problem i have right now. With premier pro I'm going to make the quality better, sound effects, background music, and everything to bring the best out of this video. All the pan and other film terminologies are incorporated in this video, I'm tryna do split screen but I'm not sure how that is gonna work. April 8th production blog

  So im going to reshoot my final task this weekend at my friends house again, my storyboard is pretty much the same but I'm just trying to make it look nice, im still adopting that detective role. Time really flies and the due date is around the corner. So, i think this weekend will be my second and last draft for the final task so i really hope it goes well. I'm planning to do it this weekend and then im going to give myself a couple days of editing so i can really perfect the final task.
