 Critical Reflection questions


1)My film uses conventions such as a situation describing the the phone's special uses. I also used a demonstration of photos usually found in these types of films. However, my project did indeed challenge some conventions. For example, was the place my film occurred, usually iPhone shows off their phones in the real life world and real life situations, however mine was all at home. Another thing that challenged conventions was that my video didn't use a lot of props, for example like someone skating around the park. My video had no people really in the video it was jus the phone itself, however, I believe that I did my best considering the circumstances

2)My product showed the cool things it can do. For example the camera quality and how it can go underwater. Moreover, the newest wireless headphones, the air pods, that can easily connect to the iPhone in seconds. my product would be used in a real media text, in this text would just be the pros of the iPhone and the specs of it and what is included inside of it, and really showing how it is a small computer that can fit in your pocket

3)My production skills definitely improved thought my essay, i have never done anything like this ever in my life before doing this project, i really never knew anything about computers to be honest, so this was a real challenge. I first had to record the video and then pull it up on my computer, that in itself was a struggle since my phone kept crashing, so i eventually had to use my moms, and this editing software was the most confusing thing I've ever seen, but then i got used to it and it got much simpler as i went on and on, and then in like 3 hours it took to finish the project.

4)I used my phone pc and the editing software to construct my project. It was much easier than i thought i just recorded the vids, downloaded them on the pc, put them in the editing software, and ordered them in the right places and cut them to the right lengths so it would be 30 seconds and flow correctly in the video

Editing blog music video

  For editing my music video i first had to cut down some of my parents. All together i probably recorded like 5 minutes worth of footage, so i had to cut that down to like 1 minute. Before submitting, since i had extra time and everything I wanted to impress Cambridge, so i tried to do some special effects on my video, like the gif that follows below, like when the camera is still focused on the face, but moves side to side relatively fast. While recording i was kind of a little bit running out of ideas for what to actually to include in the video so i may have a little bit of filer, shots that aren't really that necessary. Moreover, during my editing phase in addition to cutting out scenes, i has to cut out entire scenes because i realized that i actually had way to much filer, like scenes that weren't me, so i had to change that up and put myself in most of the scenes. April 12 production blog

  So, finally i finished, the masterpiece is complete. I know i said i wanted it as a movie film, but it probably wont look like it. I filmed it and everything, it isn't the best but i give it like a 8 out of 10, i didn't have the godly camera, i couldn't take it outside because the day i went to my friends house it was raining so that was the first L. However, with the power of editing, and a good editing software, i hope i can make that 8 a 10. I filmed the video and everything, all is going smoothly, but i feel like i haven't filmed enough for some reason. That is pretty much the only problem i have right now. With premier pro I'm going to make the quality better, sound effects, background music, and everything to bring the best out of this video. All the pan and other film terminologies are incorporated in this video, I'm tryna do split screen but I'm not sure how that is gonna work. I need more time in my vid so i was gonna split it up into two separate

April 8th production blog

  So im going to reshoot my final task this weekend at my friends house again, my storyboard is pretty much the same but I'm just trying to make it look nice, im still adopting that detective role. Time really flies and the due date is around the corner. So, i think this weekend will be my second and last draft for the final task so i really hope it goes well. I'm planning to do it this weekend and then im going to give myself a couple days of editing so i can really perfect the final task. So, on saturday im filming it all all day, like im going to be filimg for 8 hours and make a really good final task
